Racing Post Forecast Price Analysis - March 27, 2012
As part of its daily activities, the Cortex Process Engine (the core set of utilities that manage much of Racing Systems Manager) generates a forecast starting price for every horse in every race.
We do this as any systems you develop using the Racing System Builders are dependent upon the actual starting prices recorded; however, before the races we don’t know those starting prices and so we have to come up with an estimation.
To be quite honest, I would have been happy to use freely available forecast prices such as those published by The Racing Post but….
They just weren’t good enough!
